Processing fees
No hidden fees. Your members pay you through your own Stripe account — here is exactly what each payment costs.
BOXOP uses Stripe to process member payments. Stripe charges its standard UK pay-as-you-go rates, and BOXOP adds a platform fee of 0.31% of the transaction amount on top of the Stripe fee. That is the whole story — no setup fees, no payout fees, no minimums.
Stripe's standard UK rates
- Card present (in person): 1.4% + 10p per successful charge for UK/EEA cards (2.9% + 10p for non-EEA cards)
- Card not present (online): 1.5% + 20p for standard UK cards (2.8% + 20p for premium UK cards, 2.5% + 20p for EEA cards, 3.15% + 20p for international cards)
- Card on file charge: 1.5% + 20p for standard UK cards — the same as card not present
- Bacs Direct Debit / bank account charge: 1% per transaction, with a 20p minimum and a £4.00 cap

Our fee
BOXOP charges 0.31% of each transaction, on top of the Stripe fee. For example, on a £50 monthly membership collected by Bacs Direct Debit, Stripe charges 50p (1%) and BOXOP charges 15.5p (0.31%) — about 65.5p in total.
